Vaidehi Chitre is a filmmaker and writer. She acquired a B.A (English) from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, an M.A (English) from the University of Mumbai, a PG Diploma (Social Communication Media) from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai and an MFA (Cinema) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, U.S.A.

Vaidehi Chitre is a filmmaker, and is working on a documentary film on the experiences of dependent visa holders and their spouses. As part of the background research she is seeking volunteers to share their experiences through questionnaires.
