Trivector, first of all I am sorry i did not take this seriously. I did not mean to hurt anybody and now with the pieces of information you have given above I am completely scared. I am no scientific expert on this subject so can not add to that side of this discussion. 2-3 things... Infertile couple sathi kinwa tyatahi stree sathi bahishkrut jagane asahya asate he manya pan yamadhe sagalya samjahci manasikata badalayala havi ase vatate. aadih lagna hone ni mag mool hone hich streechya jeevanachi kinwa ekhadya sansarachi paripoorti ka samjali jate? ithech kuthetari ya emotional trauma che mool aahe ase mala vatate. hi manasikata badalali geli pahije. plus swatahala mool hone ashakya asel tar dattak ghene ha upaay jasti yogya aahe ase mala vatate. karan jang jang pachhadoon ek mool ya jagat radat khadat aanayache ni population explosion madhe bhar ghalayachi yapeksha mool hot nahi tar already jagat aalelya ekala changle ayushya dyayache he mala jasti bare vatate. nidan mazyavar ashi vel aali tar mi tari haach vichar karin (TV ne varati mandlelya facts baghun tich vel yenyachi shakyata jast). this may sound against infertality science but this has more social aspect to it. ase maze mat aahe. one may differ..

Manya, Mi Gynaecologist nahi, bu I am a biomedical engineer working in the field of Reproductive Health Care and heads a company which supplies all the latest equipment, medicine and labware and arrange training, execute turn-key projects for the gynaecologists who are keen to specialize in Infertility Management. Out of my social interest we also arrange 'awareness' programmes on Infertility in India (mostly Maharashtra) either through Lion's Club or Institutes like Maharashtra Seva Sangh (Mulund) of which I am a member. Regarding Ajuka's point, I fully agree and apreciate her view on adapting a child. It does form a part of Infertilily Management programme. But do you know, the resistance on adaption comes from the feamle itself. She is willing to go through all the misearies of infertility treatment, but want to have her own "Rakta-maunsacha' child. They go to the extent of accepting donor sperms, egg donation and even surrogate mother! I know the couples who have gone through more 10 cycles of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and still did not accept an option of adption. I must agree with you, Mansikta of our society must change. (It is changing, but not at desired pace.) On the contrary, their are many Infertile couples who have gone for adaption after say 15 years of marriage and lo and behold concived a baby of their own! Infertilty Science has not enough explanation for this.

lo and behold...>> is it possile trivector, that this happens becos they are more relaxed and happy..not only bcos of the baby but also bcos they have left behind the insecurities of indecision and are dealing with life as it is presented to them?
|
Beti, I do agree with you. Mental Relaxation does play a great role in any illness. Infact, in most infertility clinics, we have a counsellor, praying room , even crying room to express your grief in private. There is a technique called Cryopreservation by which embryos/eggs are frozen for next treatment cycle (in case the current cycle did not give preganancy). Mere feeling that your embryos are frozen and would be available for next cycle without going through all the rigmorals of painful injections, drugs etc., many a times help that female concive in the current cycle. Moral of the story, relaxed and CHINTAMUKT Mind would solve many problems easily with the help of advanced treatment.

FYI - Thyroidism )hypo or hyper) also plays a role in infertility. Indian women tend to oevrlook this possibility, but if after the first delivery, a woman does not come back / reduce to her normal/prepregnancy weight, despite regular exercises / diet, it could be hypo thyroidism. My sister suffers from the above after her first baby, and is unable to conceive a second child.

Instead of making fun of this topic, imagine yourself without a kid and you will know its seriousness. I feel if man/woman having same GOTRA are married to each other, then the genetics does not allow conception. I have seen numerous examples of these cases.
