Latur became famous in Maharashtra because of two reasons:
1. Vilasrao Deshmukh
2. Latur Pattern!
Now, talking about Latur pattern, many people in Pune/Mumbai allegedly believe that the so-called-scholar students who shined thru' Latur pattern, don't shine in their career.
What do you say? Any examples to substantiate the claims on either side??

Read the interview of Dr.Ashwini Joshi, IAS, who was in Jalagaon recently. There is no relation between the 10/12th success and success in career.
Do you have some data to analyse the percentage of students who appeared in merit lists and who are now ¨shining¨ in their present career.
btw, what is ¨shining in career¨? is another issue.
Latur is also famous for
Shivaraj Patil..current Home Mini of India.
Rupatai nilangekar.. who defeated Mr. Patil.
Shivajirao Nilangekar......ex CM
Dada patil Kavhekar..... who defeated Vilasrao in 1995 assembly elections.
It is ill-famous for the earthquake

All this "pattern" and all these things are fuss and exaggerated.
It depends on your study.. number 1 and 2 in SSC exam does not have to do anything with your studies.. they decide school from whch they want to choose No. 1. It is just that Latur lobby has got more weight in SSC board, so they got No. 1.
That is called Latur pattern. I remember few headmasters try to pressure board for giving no.1 to their school. If not, have these many numbers in merit list. It is all about deal mate, nothing to do with pattern.
Latur is winning the deal since long.

माझंही हेच मत आहे की दहावी बारावीचा आणि पुढे आयुष्यात यशस्वी होण्याचा फ़ारसा संबन्ध नाही. फ़क्त योग्य ब्रेक मिळायला तोच काय तो याचा उपयोग होतो.
