बॅंकेत हि सोय असते. मी एकदा केली होती. आपण लेटर टाईप करुन घेवुन जायच. बॅंकेतुन ते नोटराइस करुन देतात.

समर्‍या bank of america मध्ये करुन देतात . अगोदर जावुन सांगुन ठेवल तर जास्त चांगल . म्हनजे वेळ घेवुन त्या वेळेला जाता येते . आम्ही मागच्याच वर्षी केलेल म्हणुन मला माहित . आणखी details हवे असतील तर कळवा .

दुसरा BB उघडण्याचे टाळण्यासाठी इथे लिहितो आहे. मला नोटराइजेशन बद्दल थोडी माहिती हवी आहे.
लोन संदर्भात काही डॉक्युमेंट्स आहेत ज्यावर माझी २० ठिकाणी सही लागणार आहे. कोणाला अशा प्रकारात त्या डॉक्युमेंट्सना एखादे पान जोडून त्यावरील सही नोटराईज करण्याचा अनुभव आहे का? असेल तर अशा पानावर साधारण काय मजकूर असतो?

What I really want to know is that if I have 10 documents (10 different docs related to same transaction) which require a total of 20 signatures, a notary here said we would have to pay 20*10 dollars to get all signatures notarized!
I was wondering if there was any way of attaching a separate sheet of paper with such 10 docs and sign and notarize that sheet and signature thereon vouching for all the signatures.
if yes, what should such a addendum document state?

I don't know. It depends on your state, here in IL you can't notarize one document and use the same page/make copies of it and attach to the other documents. The purpose of notarizing is original signature and original notary seal. If this is for closing then the title co. or closing agent can notarize your signatures at no cost.

Normally on a multi-page document (the page numbers are important), one has to put initials on the first n-1 pages, and the last page carries a signature which the Notary authenticates... Nobody notarizes every page...
Check the rules with the receiver.

Thanks Vinay. That exactly is my problem. It is not one multipage document. These are separate documents, but for same transaction. I can see that one would need N signatures notarized in this case, but given the cost of notarization, notarizing 20 signatures for the same purpose... is painful

In Illinois, I got documents notarized for free from my bank. But in California, a friend of mine had to pay money to get documents notarized even after having an account with them.

samrya , तु POA US मधुन भारतात शेवटी पाठवलीस का? असशील तर कृपया सांगणार का कायकाय केलेत? काही ठिकाणी म्हणतात consulate ला स्वत: जावे, काही म्हणतात बॅंकेत पण गेले तरी चालेल. गोंधळायला झाले आहे. जाणकारानी सांगावे प्लिज.
आम्हाला माझ्या वडिलांना आमचे भारतातले सर्व आर्थिक व्यवहार करण्यासाठी अधिकार द्यायचे आहेत.
google वर पण नीट नाहीये.

बँकेत करतात ते Notarization ...
भारतात सरपंचाची सही घेऊन दाखला गेतला तर तो US मध्ये चालणार नाही, त्याच प्रमाणे इथल्या बँकेचे Notarization भारतात चालत नाही.. त्याला Consulate हीच Authority आहे.
इथे भारतीय Consulate मध्ये प्रत्यक्ष हजर होणे शक्य नसेल तर Paperwork Notarize करून (बँकेकडून) ते Consulate ला पाठवावं लागतं.
टीप: तुमचा US Passport असेल तर फोटोवर Stamp करत नाहीत... भारतात काही ठिकाणी तो लागतो...

विनय, thank you . आता लक्षात येतेय. पेपरवर्क कोणते पाठवायचे (म्हणजे POA document शिवाय) ती माहिती कुठे मिळेल ते माहीत आहे का? आणि consulate नक्की काय करते? म्हणजे आपण सर्व पाठवल्यावर? माहीत असेल तर प्लिज इथेच सांगाल का? काही खास फॉर्म्स आहेत का? सहज शक्य असेल तर लिहा.

Actually नाही.. तुमचे पासपोर्ट, POA देणार्‍याचा फोटो (२), आणि मुळ POA आणि फोटोकॉपी (ही मात्र लागते), एवढंच लागतं...
स्वतः गेलात, तर त्यांच्या समोर सही करायची, नाही गेलात तर Notary ची सही, की तुम्ही त्यांच्यासमोर ती सही केलेली आहे.
Consulate मध्ये फार काही नाही, पण तुमचं Document Register होतं, आणि त्यावर त्यांचा सही शिक्का लागतो. ते Indian Govt चे Representative आहेत म्हणून..
US Passport असेल तुमचा, तर फोटोवर शिक्का लावत नाहीत (हा नियम मला कळला नाही, पण तो तसा आहे).
पण Consulate च्या बाबतीत एकदा फोन करून तुम्ही चौकशी कराल तर उत्तम (नियम बदलतात), नशीबाने कुणी फोनवर नीट उत्तरं दिली, तर जा ये करायला नको...
