मझ्या नवर्याला woodland hills मधे project मिळाला आहे. तिकडची एकंदर माहिती हवी होती. जागा कशी आहे? indians आहेत का? indian gocery stores आहेत का? जवळ्पास रहायला चांगले ठिकाण कोणते?
जरा लवकर समजले तर बरे होइल,कारण त्यावर project accept करायचा कि नाही ते ठरवायचे आहे.

Some background:
For almost 17 years from 1980 we (marathi people) used to do a program called ‘Guna Darshan’. Basically it is a talent show, especially for kids, where they can display their talents in an informal setting on a non-threatening "stage." The show is not restricted to kids alone. Talented adults can exhibit their talents too. The items presented can be almost anything viz. singing, instrumental music, dance, kavita vaachan, katha kathan etc etc. Since ‘Guna Darshan’ group is going to be mostly marathi speaking group, preferred language for items would be Marathi and/or Hindi. It would be nice for each family to have at least one child and/or an adult present an item. Even if you can not do anything do come and appreciate others. Start polishing your skills and also teach your kids some thing that they can present in front of a small group. Since the space is limited to about 70 individuals, RSVP to the hosts is appreciated.

Sanskrit Bharati is planning to start Sanskrit classes in Pasadena. The
classes will be held at Caltech. A demo class will be on Sep. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Classes for two eeks are likely to be Mon-Fri 6:30-8:00 PM starting Sep. 17. The rest will be decided based on the response to this activity.
Their emphasis is on conversational sanskrit to start with, but it can
typicallly develop into other areas.
The charge for the class is 30 dollars. Children below 14 should be
accompanied by a parent (also enrolled).
