Check if you can see any website in unicode.
Please goto to any of the following websites and See if you can see devanagri.
1. BBC Hindi website
2. Maharashtra Times

Step 1
Change encoding of your browser as following and try visiting those website again.
For IE (all versions)
change
View->Encoding->unicode(utf-8)
for Firefox (all versions)
View->character encoding->unicode (utf-8)
These two steps will determine if the problem is whether you can't see unicode websites at all or there is problem seeing devanagri only on maayboli.
If you can not see these websites, then read on. but if you can see those websites fine but having problem only on maayboli, Stop here and write the problem you see with your browser version and OS here

Step 2.
If you can't see any unicode websites after step 0 and 1, Download unicode fonts from the following website.
We recommend installing GISTYogeshN and Gargi fonts.
Even if you can see the devanagri after step 1, it is not a bad idea to still go ahead and install those fonts as they will be useful in other applications.

देवनागरी दिसते आहे पण जोडाक्षरे नीट दिसत नसतील तर
If you can see devanagari but it does not look right (jodakshare, velanti)
Windows 95/98/ME
You will need to install Unicode support as suggested by Microsoft Download file unicows.exe. There is a link to download on the right hand side column.
If you are on Windows 2000/XP or using IE 6, you already have the required support for Indian languages. Simply need to activate it:
Windows 2000 -
Control Panel > Regional Settings > Langauges > Check Indic from the list and Click Ok.
Windows XP -
Control Panel > Regional Settings > Langauges > Check Install support for complex scripts and right to left languages (including thai) and
Click Ok

font वगैरे वापरायची गरज नाही. फ़क्त copy+paste करायचे कुठलाही tag वापरायची गरज नाही. जर तुम्हाला एखाद रोमन लिपितला मजकूर notpad मधे copy+paste करायचा असेल तर जसे कराल तसे.

dev2 वापरून लिहितांना आॅफीस, काॅल हे शब्द .c वापरून नीट दिसत नाहीयेत. कसे लिहायचे?

निलेश, मायबोली आता युनिकोड फॉंट सपोर्ट करते आहे. यापुढे शिवाजी फॉंट वापरण्या ऐवजी dev2 हा टॅग वापरुन लिहिले तर बरे होईल. यापुढे font टॅग उपलब्ध असणार नाही.

one more cool update is the IE Tab extension - you dont have to launch a separate IE application - this extension will open the same page using IE in a separate firefox tab!! i tried it with hitguj unicode pages and works like a charm

PSG, it is very difficult to find windows98 machines to test and Microsoft has stopped providing any support for it except emergency security fixes. By June this year even emergency support won't be available. All we know is unicow.exe is supposed to provide unicode support and if that is not working, I don't know how to help you.
After installing unicow just make sure that you have enabled options if it has any (I haven't tried unicow so don't know all the issues with it)
