Limboni, SVS, Rangy : kahi banks Average Balance and Minimum Balance ase certificate detat. Tya banks cha asa kahi definite format nahi. It changes from bank to bank. Sometimes, they certify 3 months Average Balance. So to be on the safer side, 3-4 mahinya agodarpasunch bank account madhe dollars pump-in karayache, so that, Average Balance improves ani jast withdrawal karayache nahi so that minimum balance improves. Tricks do not work always... ( US ka Visa hain, Koi majak hain kya ? )

1. i mean, presently i am in korea and since my company is shifting to US. i need US visa. and i applied twice for non-immigrant visa here in SEOUL (US embassy), since i suppose visit for conference. but unfortunately, it was rejected both the times as i didn't stayed for so long in korea. and also i was told that, peoples from india (any country) are suppose to apply from their country only.
2. if i apply from india (MUMBAI, since i am from same state), what are the chances to get me US visa under this condition(i.e. rejection twice).
3. if i do so, what visa type should i apply for? (i have long agreement with company, like, unless it is broken by employer for by myself).
4. in above case, can i apply for H1( form no. I979) or EB2 (permanant residence through employment form no. I140),
5. how many days it need to VISA get done? (including all formalities)
6. do i need to appear personaly for the interview or it could be done by the any renowned agent?
so, can anybody help me in this regards.

Are in this case rather that u do something your company has to do. If it is case of H1 then your company has to file your papers in INS and then they have to proove US government that they need you for their business.. this takes 3 months.. typically.. and then you need to go to US AMbassy and get h1 stamped.
generally you do not need to attend for the intervidew personally..

My in-laws just got visa without problem from bombay. They had been to US earlier last year for 6 months.
Also one of my friend who had her h4 to h1 here in US got her visa during her trip to India in December 2001 without prob. So i think if you have all the valid papers, there should not be any problem.

i am in the process of getting visa for my in-laws... will update about it later as we do not have any denial/approval result in hand. keep an eye on this BB.

mala mazya in laws na ithe bolvayache aahe. pan maza visa stamp expire zaala aahe and I do have visa extension papers in my hand. Will it be possible to call my in laws here on that basis. i.e. without valid visa stamp on my passport but instead using visa extension papers?

asawari : tyach BB war uttar dile aahe. ikade pan lihit aahe. Visa stamp ( on passport ) is requied to enter in uSA. Once you enter USA, approval notice is ok. Send photocopy of passport ( all pages, including blank ) and photocopy of approval notice.

By the Visitor Visa change proposed to the US Govt, if is approved, the duration of visitor visa will be cut short to 1 month at a stretch from existing 6 months. Also the extension process will not be easy. (A study finds that average visitor stays in US for 1 month (I think this is because most of them are Europeans..))
I read in the news somewhere that American Indian community has protested against the resolution. I think we all need to get together to file an electronic / real petition. I do not know how to do all that stuff. Maybe we need to catch hold of some congressman also.
Also, I think there is no harm in giving it a shot .. Let us do the best we can.
Is anybody aware about any such efforts going on in this matter?
I will check with Maharashtrian Mandal, Swadhaya Parivar , Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh , Nepali Association groups about the issue.
If we do not take action FAST enough, it might be too late.

mazya in laws na 1 year visa milala aahe. So i suppose wheth they enter US mostly they will have duration of 6 months to stay here in I-94.
Has enyeone tried extending the stay say to 1 year. How difficult or easy it is do it.
