My Experience with Airbus 380 (A380)
Its Huge.....
Its Gigentic.....
Its Unbelievable.....
Its Modern Marvel......
Its FLY-BY-WIRE cockpit.....
Its cost is 12 billion euros on development....
Its hydraulic system works on 35 bar pressure.....
It has 22 wheels instead of 18 in convventional buses...
It costs 860 million, carrying 555 pessangers & 150 tonnes of cargo......
Singapore Airlines is first to use its services.....
Singapore to NewYork, in just 18 hours, without hault/transit or re-fuel.....
Its just 2nd Model Assembled in the world & booking is full upto 2010.............
Its largest Passenger jet ever built - so huge that existing airports have to be re-designed to accomodate it.

Ok, Here's some more technical clues...
Double-Decker, 4 Rolls Royys Trent 900 series engines.....
Manufactured in Toulouse, France & First flew on April 27, 2005, Live on BBC, CNN & watched thousands of viewers from home....
Length with 72.7 meters, wing span with 79.8 meters, & height of 24.1 meters. Transportation indstry gone crazy on this with Weighing 544.3
tonnes.

For bollywood, First Superstar is Rajesh Khanna, & for Passenger flight, first superjumbo is A380.
Its here, Its here in Singapore. For ASIAN AEROSPACE 2006, special attracting is A380 (commonly known as for AIRBUS 380). There are
F15/16/18, Apache Helicopter, tanks & guns. but main attraction was AIRBUS 380.......Its was indeed speial. BOEING was also visible with
there DREAMLINERS series, but only with models. Airbus carried 380 with 1:1 scale with them. With Boeing's & Lockheed's competition, Airbus
shown a gr8 risk to graspe 600+ passenger segment. A380 has claim a good challange for Boeing 747 family,which is ruling for 35 years &
carring 416 passengers (max). First known as A3XX, it got its name A380, which was unconventional for Airbus Taxis. Number "8" is chosen because it reflects he cross-section of the plane's double-deck passenger area.
There was a Air-display show for all the fighter planes with finishing porch granted for A380. It was flying at very low altitude, even Logo
is good visible by nacked eyes. Arranged in top class manner, A380 won all Spectators applause. Like a ramp dancer, A380 shown all the corners
& angels, from the air & that to from low height. Every twist & turn was adding new attraction to own it. It was then followed by a static public display where A380 can be seen from marely 10 feets.
This was the moment in West Cargo Apron in Changi's International exhibition center..
AFter 2 hours of long queue, by wish, i was seeing 12 billion euros( for development & 285 million per piece)........not just seeing,
experiencing. There's difference. There is DIFFERENCE by seeing the 12 billion babe on TV/newspapers/posters & from 10 feet's distance.
Originaly launched in June 1994, with 8.8 billion euros & A3XX namely project, finished in form of A380, development with 12 billion euros
tag. Those blistering 4 Rolls royse engines, a pony-tail with flying bird'slogo, a symbol of FIRST TO FLY with SINGAPORE AIRLINES visual
tag....it was worth it. Very less Airports in the world are comaptiable for A380, even in india, new Bangalore & Hy'bad Airports,
which are in construction phase, gearing up for this flyer.
From 16 manufacturer's sites across europe, Airbus got the parts from UK, Spain, Japan, & from india too. HAL From india designed & build
special doors & IC's for A380. Our own 'Colored Water' tycoon, Mr. Mallya, ordered 5 units for there KingFisher Airlines....expecting to
arrive in 2010.
Delayed by 6 months, first A380 will join Singapore airlines for Kangaroo route (sector Lon-Sing-Aus) on 4th quarter of 2006. & Quantas
getting its first delievery on April 2007. This is profitable because A380 can accomodate 850 passengers in 1 class or 555 in 3 classes. If
it took a transit hault of 6 hours at frankfurt/munich for passengers flying Singapore - New York sector, 26+ hours just gone in air. Now with this jumbo-jet, travel time cut to 18 hours.
Known for there tricks to attract customers, Mr. Richards Branson's VIRGIN ATLANTIC AIRWAYS, orderd 6 of A380, with first to enter in March
2008 & guess the ammenities, they r planning on-board for you? A relaxation Area, a Bar, & a Duty free shop. (Virgin also has Limousine
pick-up & Drop-off point for there upper class passangers & massage center in heathrow.) so that u can really make your day in Air.
So next time, when you watch/fly with any normal
flight..............THINK OF A380.(attaching the snap...)

Awesome plane, no doubt
It now takes about 3 hrs in advance check-in time with the biggest plane being BO 747. With planes two three times this, how early is the airline going to ask me to show up (Remember more people more security checks).
First class, and some business class travel is great. But how much space these the airlines are going to allow me in economy class?
Now in the american regulation, people from the one class are asked to use Toilets in the same class, and no gathering in the aisles. So the relaxation area, bar etc. will go to which class?
If I have to fly 18 hours straight, how am I going to sit in one place for that time.
I wish somebody will answer those questions. Bigger are better but faster would be the best...
(Amit, these are not for you.. I was just thinking loud)..
