Chitra Palekar has directed a film in Marathi, named "maati maay". It is based on Mahashetadevi's story, Baayan.
Film is selected for 'Toranto Film festival' and 'London Film Festival'.
I have done the 'Publicity Stills' for this film.
Cast : Nandita Das & Atul Kulkarni.
Do watch, if you get a chance. It's releasing in Pune, on 6th October.

the life is too fast today...'survival of the fittest' is true in this jetspeed competitive world...so all the values ...base is changing... the girl meets a boy... concept... too is in the fast lane...they donot waste..(?) their life's precious career conscious years in this but prefer 'living in'... which is physical rather than creating understanding ..a lifelong one...
for them life is not long...of nothing... everything is short lived... momentary ... in true sense... even the relationships..
so this speed is abnormal... & naturally applies brakes... how...?
these multi ••• fundas... crazy behaviours... have actually given way to AIDS...
it's a virus... so spreading phenominally...
the one who goes with rampant ••• ... gets it.... then it's a punishment for one's own acts... but does the AIDS monster holding it's catch there...?
NO!...it's the next generation...that's actually paying for the deeds they hv not done...
the kids who r born out of AIDS stricken...
••• is not a maniac's perversion..
it's actually a beautiful thing that happens to a human being to propogate life on this beautiful earth...
those who get AIDS becoz of their own perversions, give birth to children, who cannot have ••• when they r grown ups...becoz they are AIDS stricken by birth...

they r punished for the deeds they hv not done...

now a days they hv ••• anywhere... it's become an animal instinct ...like animals...they feel it ...they hv it...
in red light area they sell •••... but they do the act behind the curtains ... they lure their clients... but take them to a room... behind the curtains....to perform an act..
here the boy is indulging into the act on the back seat of a taxi.. i. e. a public transport...
so he/ the pair has reached lower than the etiquettes of the red light area...what right he has to use the abusing tone abt the area whn he himself has morally fallen ...he represents today's crest fallen ••• cravyyyyy society...
who shud be called prostitutes... only the girls from the red light area...? r they the only one who r responsible for spreading AIDS>..? they r acually on the receiving end...who visits them... people from the society....the circle is vicious...
who gets it from whom....? & it all started from a monkey in the african jungles...do we say... we r going back to our ancestral roots by this...?
