Chatur,
Your query is vague. I am trying to answer in a general way. See here on maayboli you type in minglish and the program behind the scene is disha from mahesh velankar which converts the minglish into the shivaji font script called as transliteration. So you cannot write in minglish in word as this program is required for that.

Now you can use devtype to do the same. You can get the minglish converted to shivaji font script in devtype and copy paste the text in word.

Hope that helps

Tushar

chatur in short, consider dev, ts1, ts5 as wrappers around shivaji01/05 fonts. There is no actual font as dev. You can use disha to achieve the same.

Tushar, Asami - Thanks for the clarifications.

I was earlier under the impression that there is a dev font.

Tushar - after installing DevType Transliteration utility, I am able to get the minglish converted to Shivaji font successfully.

A million thanks to all of you for the help.

mvelankar/admin: this is regarding the devanagari editor. try typing in the following string: a aa i ii u uu ( when the "u" comes, the transliteration goes haywire). it seems to work with other strings

mvelanka: this problem also occurs with the dishaa editor on your website

A Aa [ š ] }
A Aa [ š ] }
This is how it works.
How else do you expect it to work, may I know?

the problem is not while copying: the problem is in how the display in your disha window looks when you type the "u"

abedekar and nakul,

This is a known problem in IE 5.5
and probably afterwards.

solution.
right click on the devanagari text
->encoding -> user defined

In some settings, you have to keep on
doing this.

Also try refreshing again and again.
However the resetting of encoding always
works.

Ashich: You downloded "Shivaji" fonts but did you "install" those fonts under windows=>fonts=> directory!!! check it thru control panel=>fonts. Can you see shivaji font in that directory!

I hope this would resolve your issue... :-)

Ashish: once you open fonts folder you should see "install option" under 'file' menu, sometimes just by copying fonts does not work... thats why I mentioned about "installing font" but I guess you already did that... :-(

Anjali28: Netscape/Mozilla has a problem displaying a URL embedded inside 'dev' tag and hence you may not be able to see those links properly in marathi, infact it might look like garbage... I hope you are experiencing same issue!!!

Yup Yogi.. I am fed up with instability of IE. So I started using Netscape. Looks like at least for Maayboli I don't have a choice.. :-( Anyway thanks for the reply..

Anjali28: Instead of Netscape (which hogs memory and takes alot of time to load) use Mozilla much better/faster/easier to use. There is no work around as of now for the issue described above unless links are not embedded inside 'dev' tag... :-(

Deepblue, select the contents you want to copy, paste it in your post, inside the font tag with shivaji01/05 font as the first parameter and the pasted text as the second parameter.

e.g., I have copied part of your above post like this,

kolaolaa eKada dovanaagarI majakur malaa punha :
\blue{\font{shivaji05,kolaolaa eKada dovanaagarI majakur malaa punha }}
