Friends: here's a simple way to make Bombay Khari Get Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets ( do not get Philo Pastry sheets ). Keep frozen until the night before you want to make it. Keep it in the refrigerator section the night before ( 10-12 hours before you need it) Each box contains two pieces, folded into three . Open one sheet,keep the other one in the fridge until you need it. With a sharp kniife, cut along the folds, so you have three sheets. Clean your countertop and sprinkle some all-purpose flour or maida on it. Place the strip on the countertop, and roll it lightly, so that its length increases abot 3-4 inches. ( latane ). Don't press too hard, or it wont fluff up. Cut strips of .75 to 1 inch width . Dust a cookie sheet with All purpose flour liberally. Place the strips approx. 1 inch apart from each other. Bake for approx 20 -25 min in a preheated oven at 375. You can tell from the aroma and slight browining of the top , when they are done. Remove and let cool at least 10-15 minutes so they become really crisp. The aroma on a weekend morning, is worth all the trouble. My roomie an I could finish one whole packet by 3:00 pm on saturday. Call me for 'chaha' if this turns out good.
