pohe (Jad) 1 cup Cashew nuts (broken into small pieces) 10 Sugar or Jaggery 1 cup Keshar a pinch Ghee 1/4-1/2 cup raisins 10-15 Water 1 cup Cardamom (peeled & powdered) 5 Preparation Clean pohe and grind it coarsely in a blender. Add water and soak the poha powder for 10 to 15 minutes in water. (sometimes I have used whole pohe without grinding and didn’t notice any diff.) Take a pan and pour water. Add sugar to the water and boil, till it turns into a thin syrup. Add the soaked poha powder, ghee, keshar into the syrup and mix well. Fry cashewnuts and raisins in a teaspoon of ghee, till it turns golden color. Add these to the poha sheera. When it starts to stick to the pan, remove it from fire. Add cardamom powder, mix well and serve it hot.
