Prasadp77 Thursday, December 07, 2006 - 7:55 am:      Even though this forum is for phone cards, some of my VoIP experience. I have used Yahoo Voice till it messed up with my card. Yahoo voice offers 10 cents a minute. Voice quality is ok (I will not say the best) and it varies. During diwali, they were offering calls for half price and then the quality really really sucked. Lateron, I made a transaction using my card on my wife's Yahoo account and to verify the card, they employed a novel security method. In this method, they credit your card with few cents and ask you to confirm the amount to activate your account. They CLAIM that such transaction never passes and USD 10 charged on your card should fall off from your card statement. THIS NEVER HAPPENED WITH THIS TRANSACTION. When I checked with my bank, the bank confirmed that the amount was withdrawn but Yahoo never accepted and always stuck to the claim that the transaction didn't pass. I have now stopped using Yahoo voice. one experience is enough with them. Now, I am using Voipcheap.com, very good consistent voice quality, recharge is easy and very quick. There are some reports of mess up with this company as well but so far I have used many of their products and never had any issue. I don't plan to stick with them for long time so now I am looking for another VoIP service that offers calls to India in the range of USD 0.10 to 0.13 a minute.
